ROOFTOP MC’s 7th Anniversary Theme: IN “NOT” OF

Makarios was @ the anniversary to minister along side with Rooftop MC’s, doing a step dance in between one of their song titled Bottom line.
A lot of God vessels showed up @ the anniversary like Pastor Poju Oyemade, Cohbams, and Proverbs etc. It was an evening filled with praise, worship, liberty, amusement and fun.

Junior Achievement 7th Annual Award

Junior Achievement is a non-profit economic education organisation dedicated to building a bridge between the classroom and the workplace and to encouraging young people to participate in a range of educational programmes designed to help them understand the world of work.
Junior Achievement was established in 1919 in the United States, and has since become a global organisation with operations in 112 countries worldwide. In each country, it functions independently of the parent organisation, Junior Achievement International, with a local strategy devised, driven and monitored by a local board of directors.It strated operation in Nigeria in 1999, and has reached over ninety thousand (90,000) student since then.

This year, JA Nigeria will be holding it's 7th Annual Award on Thurday 23rd November 2006 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.It is an opportunity to recognise our students, schools, teachers, volunteers and companies that have been oustanding during the course of the JA year,JA nigeria as therefore invited MAKARIOS to perform at this event

Afroscholars.com is an initiative of Phillips Consulting Limited. The mission of Phillips Consulting alongside it’s partners – UBA Foundation, and MTN Nigeria, is to contribute visibly in bringing Africa to the forefront of the global economy.

PRE- BEYOND THE DANCE

Many are the Dance, Drama and Music ministries or group which exist in our community, but till date there is no general body or forum where all these ministries or groups can come together to share and deliberate on practical challenges affecting them in Nigeria.
Makarios has taken the responsibility to put together a conference, that will address the above identified need concerning the Dance, Drama and Music ministries or groups of our time, so that we can all get more knowledge and understanding, which is the main objective this conference has come to fulfill.

In preparation for this epoc-making concert title "BEYOND THE DANCE",we had a lot of challenges with financial and human resources but knowing very well that the God we serve will make everything work together for the good of those that love him and are called according to is purposes,we are assured of an expected end,Because all the troubles will only last for the nights we go through but we are assured that the Sun is going to shine on the afternoon of Nov 4th 2006. CAN SOMEBODY SAY AMEN!!!

BEYOND THE DANCE

On the afternoon of November 4th the "BEYOND THE DANCE" concert occurred and guess what, it was really beyond the dance, music and drama ministration that was presented, Souls where saved and lifes were changed and the turn out was unexpected. Thanks to God cos we know that it is not of he that worketh or of he that runneth but by God that showeth mercy. CAN SOMEONE SAY HALLELUYAH "SYLLABICLLY" HAAAAA - LLEEEE -LUUUUU YAH!!! jokes

The Concert started with an opening prayer then after that it moved to praise and worship and this was handle very well by the HOD of the Sounds Of Many Water (SOMW)and the following took place there after:

Introduction of MAKARIOS (The ministry) by the 1st generation of makarios members which lead to a Dance presentation of a mix of different songs and sound track by the makarios dance crew explaining the semantics behind the makarios logo.

Heaven was man's home which he was born into,that which he lost due to sin. But he was bought back by the blood;the blood of antonement by which he now has a new life and is therefore called Blessed which in hebrew is called MAKARIOS.

Introduction of Beyond the Dance

1.The Message Beyond the Dance:

The message beyond the dance is the word of God which gives hope to the hopeless, dilverance to the captive and healing to the sick. Luke 4:18.I NEED AN ANGEL by Ruben Studard was choroegraphed to by the makarious crew

2.The Music Beyond the Dance:

Many are the genre of music which we have today, which are mainly categorized into Secular and Gospel music.Here we focus on the Gospel music which is the music inspired by God which brings a feeling of refreshment and restoration which cannot be found in any other kind of music. Here the makarios crew did a tap dance which was linked to ROOFTOP MC's Bottom line aka "D song dey Tap"
